If you are travelling as part of a group, we recommend arriving together as it may be difficult to save spots for late arrivals.
IMPORTANT: You must not camp within 20m of the Bore. You will be asked to move if you set up camp within this parameter.
There is 4KM of unsealed, good dirt road coming off the bitumen highway at the Creek Road (Widgeegoarra) entrance to the Bore Campsite.
All roads are perfectly suitable for 2 wheel drive vehicles, as long as there hasn’t been any recent heavy rain. Roads are flat and generally in good condition.
No bookings are required for our hot artesian baths. The Bore and Baths are available for guest use throughout the festival.
Please be considerate to other guests, wishing to have a bath. Due to the mineral content of the water and the 40°C temperature, it is recommended to only stay in the tubs/water for 20 minutes.
Yes, there is Artesian water with taps at the shed, toilet block and a separate washing up area. It is suitable to drink and can be potted to use for your caravan or campsite. However, please bring water bottles, if you don’t like the taste.
Yes! Our fantastic food vendors will have breakfast, lunch, and dinner items available for purchase. Alternatively, please ensure you bring adequate food to Charlotte Plains for the duration of the festival.
Black-water: Please be aware that there are NO black-water dump points on-site at Charlotte Plains. The nearest dump points are located in Cunnamulla or Bollon. DO NOT dump black-water waste in long-drops, toilets or surrounding shrubbery.
Grey-water: You are welcome to dump your grey water anywhere that is NOT a communal area.
A $200 fee will be applied to your account if you are caught dumping waste incorrectly.

Finish off the school holidays right with live tunes from Swifty at the Bore Campsite from 28-30 September, 2025.
Swifty has been entertaining crowds for 40 years in the UK and across Europe, before moving to Australia in 2021. He loves unleashing his repertoire of oldies but goodies from the 60’s, 70’s, & 80’s, along with a humorous tale or two.
Clare Cowley will perform at the Bore Campsite from 20-26 September, 2025.
Velvety vocalist & Meanjin based musician, Clare Cowley, charmed listeners with country blues vinyl album, Desire Notes in 2023. Clare grew up with singalongs around the piano in her hometown of Allora. With songs that evoke the likes of Sarah Blasko, Clare was a Highly Commended Artist at the Queensland Music Awards 2024.
Touring her music around Australia, Clare has supported the likes of Neil Murray. The new ‘Rock & Druins’ EP is another self-illustrated expression of wonder that anticipates Clare’s 3rd full length album ‘Handwritten Letter’ to be released in 2026.
Mark Porter will perform at the Bore Campsite from 14-19 September, 2025.
Mark is a third generation musician, influenced by the early music that came out of Americas Deep South. With rich vocals, his renditions are raw, played on Acoustic and Dobro slide guitars.
He has performed at festivals including Gympie Music Muster, Agnes Water Blues, Roots & Rock Festival, Rotorua Blues Festival, Festival of King Island, Airlie Beach Festival of Music, and Cooktown Discovery Festival.
