Join us at Charlotte Plains for the September school holidays!
We have hot baths, campfires, bike track, ice-cream, farm animals, audio tours, and more! Enjoy a great line-up of live music and the AFL grand final, accompanied by our licensed bar.
NB. The school holidays do get busy at Charlotte Plains – if you’re after a more peaceful stay, please set up camp further away from the main areas of the Bore Campsite or plan to visit outside of school holidays. Thank you!
Finish off the school holidays right with live tunes from Swifty at the Bore Campsite from 28-30 September, 2025.
Swifty has been entertaining crowds for 40 years in the UK and across Europe, before moving to Australia in 2021. He loves unleashing his repertoire of oldies but goodies from the 60’s, 70’s, & 80’s, along with a humorous tale or two.
Clare Cowley will perform at the Bore Campsite from 20-26 September, 2025.
Velvety vocalist & Meanjin based musician, Clare Cowley, charmed listeners with country blues vinyl album, Desire Notes in 2023. Clare grew up with singalongs around the piano in her hometown of Allora. With songs that evoke the likes of Sarah Blasko, Clare was a Highly Commended Artist at the Queensland Music Awards 2024.
Touring her music around Australia, Clare has supported the likes of Neil Murray. The new ‘Rock & Druins’ EP is another self-illustrated expression of wonder that anticipates Clare’s 3rd full length album ‘Handwritten Letter’ to be released in 2026.
Mark Porter will perform at the Bore Campsite from 14-19 September, 2025.
Mark is a third generation musician, influenced by the early music that came out of Americas Deep South. With rich vocals, his renditions are raw, played on Acoustic and Dobro slide guitars.
He has performed at festivals including Gympie Music Muster, Agnes Water Blues, Roots & Rock Festival, Rotorua Blues Festival, Festival of King Island, Airlie Beach Festival of Music, and Cooktown Discovery Festival.
Evan Platschinda will be performing live at the Bore Campsite from 18–24 June 2026, bringing his signature blend of heartfelt Australian ballads and classic country favourites to the outback stage.
After years playing in a band, Evan Platschinda stepped back from music to focus on family and business—until a visit to the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2003 reignited his passion. Since then, he’s performed at major country music festivals across Australia, played countless club gigs, and spent the last 15 years making solo trips through the outback. Along the way, he’s recorded six albums of heartfelt country music and Aussie ballads.
