What should I know about the Hot Artesian Baths?

Hot Springs Australia
If you’re looking for hot springs in Australia, you’ve come to the right place! Our natural artesian bore and bath tubs offer a relaxing experience for locals and visitors to Queensland.

Time: Please be considerate to other guests, wishing to have a bath. Due to the mineral content of the water and the 40°C temperature, it is recommended to only stay in the tubs/water for 20 minutes.

Jewellery: You may wish to remove your silver jewellery, as the water may taint it or cause discolouration. When sulphur combines with silver, it produces silver sulphide. This creates a layer of the black on the silver.

Natural Environment:
The Bore is a natural environment and will produce algae (which can be slippery). The ground of the bore pools/streams may be rocky or uneven, so please exercise caution. If you have sensitive feet, you may wish to wear river/water shoes or Crocs for comfort.

Safety:

– Please drink lots of water before you go in and when you get out, as the combination of minerals and heat could lead to unexpected dehydration.
– If you have any health issues, we strongly recommend not going into the tubs/water alone (especially at night).

– This is a HOT artesian pool. Please enter slowly to adjust to the temperature.
– Surfaces may be slippery or uneven. Please use caution in and around the bore.
– Children must be supervised at all times.
– NO running, jumping, or diving (shallow water)
.
NO kayaks in the main Bore pools.
