Can I have a fire?
Campfires are permitted at Charlotte Plains.
Please see the below for important information regarding campfires:
Wood – There is deadwood available for your own collection around the property. Please do not take wood from the communal fire pit stack.
Sites – We do not have defined campsites, as we want to give campers the flexibility to set up their campfires in a way that suits their group or individual needs. We appreciate the use of fire pits or bins where possible, and do have some available at our campground for use.
Safety – Please ensure you douse your campfire with water before going to bed. It is important that you do not bury your fire, so that other campers can see where fires have been.
Ash Piles – Please use the shovels and wheelbarrows provided to dispose of your ash piles in the designated areas. These areas are signed, and our team would be happy to help point them out if you are unsure.
